About the Artist:
Bob van Allen was an eclectic designer who was at the height of his craft during the 1970's. A sharp dresser and stylish man, his aesthetic for quality, refined colour palette and understanding of style had a broad reach. His personal touch influenced many areas of design from rugs, lamps to flatware and linens. In the late seventies he would also design selective and unique dinnerware for Mikasa and thus he travelled to Japan extensively.
